Vermont State Fit Day

The VARA Fit Day is a one day session designed to bring Ski Industry Representatives, retailers, VARA Club members and coaches together in one location to size and fit participants for equipment for the new competitive season.

Athletes: Fit Day will benefit VARA Members like you by allowing the best industry reps to fit and size athletes and therefore provide a wider range of VARA members with a wider range of more suitable product. Retailers will be available on site but this day is focussed on you and your equipment needs, not your wallet. Visit as many reps as you can - the company that made the perfect boot last year may have changed their lasts this year or you might have grown ( Parents can relate to this, I think! ) There will be no sales allowed; orders, however, may be processed on site.

Club Directors: It is very important that you become involved in encouraging your parents, coaches and athletes to attend this event. THERE IS NO COST, NO FEE TO ATTEND!! The benefit will come from the athletes being exposed to the industry reps most current with, and most knowledgeable about, the 2008 product line. You should not need to schedule a fit day for your club.

Coaches: You will need to be available to assist reps in recommending skis and boots most suited for each athlete. You know how much the athletes and parents rely on you to assist them even with the best industry reps available to fit and size your athletes! This is a one day fit day and all the race companies will be available.

FIT DAY ...

• Please have your proof of VARA and USSA membership.
• Renew your VARA membership during the day, if you haven't already done so.
• Work with each company's most experienced race representative to fit and size your equipment needs for the upcoming competitive season.
• Most programs should send coaches to assist athletes and parents.
• Program directors are strongly encouraged to attend.
