Rules Changes

1. There is no waiver allowing a child to compete on a ski shorter than required by the rules.
2. At most events, equipment issues are to be handled on a protest basis.
3. Equipment rules will be enforced at Jr. Olympics and FIS Children's events.

Requests for exceptions to required minimum VD requirements & application of minimum penalty can be made on an event by event basis to the Regional Director. The request will then be forwarded to the National Office for final approval. Please file any request for an exception in a timely manner.

If a competitor is using SG skis in a USSA DH; the skis may conform to required SG length. Walt is preparing a clarification of the Equipment Rules; watch for it on the USSA website.
