VARA SCHOLARSHIPS

The Vermont Alpine Racing Association is pleased to announce that the VARA Educational Foundation will be granting scholarships to deserving VARA member racers for the 2006 racing season.

To be eligible for a VARA Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be a current VARA member.
2. Must belong to a VARA sanctioned racing program.
3. Must be a JII, JI level racer.

Requests for VARA Scholarships will be accepted through November 1 and should be mailed to:

Please include the following on the request:

• Racer name
• USSA #
• VARA member race program, club or academy ( the program must be a VARA Member )
• Coaches name
• Estimate of racing related costs for the coming season
• Family income- include a copy of the most recent tax return
• List grants or scholarships already received
• Tell how the VARA Scholarship would be used to advance your racing career

• Financial need
• Level at which athlete is competing, cost commitment
• Athlete commitment and accomplishment
• Must be a current VARA member in good standing
• Must belong to a VARA sanctioned racing program
• Must be a J1 or J2 level racer
