Still another photographer up north is our very own Alan Kirkpatrick. "Along with the NVC J4 scoring I now have a web site with race photos. I'm focusing primarily on the Division 1 college group, but am also shooting a few other USSA/FIS races. So far I'm only going to races where I can watch my kids, and they are alI J2 & older. "

He says I have a J5 and J6 Racer this year and will be covering the events that the Mad River Glen Racers go to. I also cover some GMVS home races on days my kids do not have races.

Buzz Kuhns
Check out his work on-line, at his new website: http://www.buzzkuhnsphotography.com/

Photos by Reflex
At Okemo, the professionals are Photos by Reflex. Reflex is one of the last few full time, professional ski and race photography operations running at major VT and NH ski areas. With over 24 years experience, Reflex delivers outstanding images and a professional product. Parents and racers have often reported that Reflex shoots the best race photos in the business. Reflex will be shooting all VARA (and other) racing events at Okemo this year -- proofs can be seen at Reflex's retail desks at the Okemo and Jackson Gore base lodges on race day and on line by that evening. With the increased interest and use of digital images, and to make it more affordable, Reflex is developing special package offers for the season's digital images for OMARA families, and will be happy to extend that availability to other interested parties. Contact Reflex directly for information, questions:

Bob Story
Bob Story was taking pictures recently at Bromley and at Berkshire East, Mass. He seems to move around, so I'd check his website occasionally and see what's there. His watermark is unobtrusive, too, so you can get a really good look at your picture.
Update: Mr. Story contacted us recently: "I also take photos of some southern Vt. races. I have a contract to cover USCSA college races, but when I have a free weekend I cover races at mountains where I am welcomed. I've been shooting skiing for over 20 years, mostly at Mount Snow. I am available to shoot club or sanctioned races and can print onsite or give AV shows at après ski parties."
The samples he sent along with this note are stunning. Well worth the visit to his website, if you ask us.

Maine

Robin Leavitt photographs most of the Maine racers. A customer sends us this testimonial: I have many wonderful photos of the grand daughters by her! She's at a lot of the races that her daughter (who is a first year J-2) is at. Robin got the contract to do the J-3 Finals at Waterville last week so if you know any of the VT J-3's that haven't seen their pictures yet.......tell them where to go!

Tell us more

Do you know of any other sources, on-line of course, for photos of VARA (or NYSSEF, NHARA, MARA) racers and races? If so, give us a yell and tell us about it: toby@vara.org

Thanks.
