Jay Peak Ski Club needs more Coaches!

Do you have a passion for ski racing and teaching kids how to expand their horizons and push through
the limits as to what they think is possible? The Jay Peak Ski Club (JPSC) is growing and looking for
motivated and passionate Alpine ski racing coaches. They will join our team of over 30 athletes and
partner with our 3 senior and 2 junior coaches in getting the most out of our U8 through U16 athletes.
At JPSC we believe teaching our kids proper racing technique is critical for them to grow. We also
believe enjoying the fruits of everything Jay Peak has to offer is critical to the athletes’ development.
JPSC is a non-profit organization that operates independently of Jay Peak Resort. We are a welcoming
and close-knit community of ski racing families that love to ski and race. We are looking for one or two
coaches who can challenge our athletes to be better skiers and competitors.

Our athletes compete in the Northern Vermont Council (NVC) of the Vermont Alpine Racing Association
(VARA). They race against teams from Burke, Stowe, Smugglers Notch, Cochrans, Mad River Glen, and
Sugarbush. We offer competitive hourly wages, provide a season ski pass and a JPSC jacket, and will
cover travel expenses when visiting other mountains for races. Our program runs on the weekends
from the end of December until the end of March. The appropriate candidate could also apply to Jay
Peak Resort for a mid-week coaching and instructor position in order to have near full-time employment

Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Slalom and Giant Slalom fundamentals
- A passion for coaching kids 6 – 16 years of age
- Experience teaching skiing or coaching ski racing
- Able to coach Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM – 2:30 PM, December 27 th , 2025 to March 28 th, 2026
- USSA Level 100 Certification or ‘In Progress Active’ status
