VARA Grant Application 

Supporting Vermont’s Alpine Ski Racers

VARA is proud to provide financial support to our member athletes as they pursue excellence in alpine racing at the regional, national, and international levels.

VARA Financial Grant Program - supports dedicated VARA member athletes who have shown significant progress in alpine racing. This program recognizes athletes who have demonstrated perseverance, commitment, and a relentless drive to reach their highest competitive potential.

Grant Details

• U14 athletes:  Up to $1,000
• U16 and older athletes: Up to $3,000

• U12 and under: Not eligible (Programs receive U12 assistance; check wth your club)

Eligibility

• Applicants must be current VARA members.

• Athletes must submit a complete application by the deadline.

• Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application Timeline

• Deadline: September 29Th

• Review: VARA Committee will review all applications and contact each athlete’s home program.

• Notification: Recipients will be announced in October

• Only a limited number of grants are available each year.

• Applications MUST be complete for consideration.

• Incomplete applications or late submissions will not be accepted.

Additionally, there is in-season travel assistance, which can be used to help with expenses for events, post-season championship events, and states.  - Form

Applications that are complete and submitted on time will be given priority. Late applications may be considered if funds are available.

VARA has been able to support Vermont athletes with up to $45,000.
