MORE IMPORTANT AO INFORMATION

Ref Coach moodle course is complete and should be online. THIS COURSE IS FOR NEW LEVEL 100 COACHES ONLY. If a coach is already a level 100 they will need to complete their level 1 Ref cert in the traditional format of clinic and in person exam, followed by 2 shadows.
Once a new coach has been registered for the course by US Ski and Snowboard Coaches Education for L100 they will be able to follow the step by step process to complete the following check list (which is also listed inside the course)

CHECKLIST FOR LEVEL 100 COACH AND REFEREE 1

  1. Complete all US Ski and Snowboard coach/official membership requirements: dues, background check, Safesport, avalanche, etc.
  2. Successfully complete Level 100 Coaching Module
  3. Successfully complete Competition Official Module. Save completion certificate for reference. 
  4. Successfully Complete Coach-Ref Module and exam. Exam must be completed within 2.5 hour time limit, have one chance to complete during the season. Save completion certificate for reference and .
  1. Successfully complete 2 referee specific shadow assignments, which should be under the supervision of a US Ski and Snowboard level 3 alpine referee, level 3 Alpine Technical Delegate, (minimum Level 2 RF/TD), or FIS Technical Delegate. Submit shadow completion forms to Divisional AO Chair. (A LIST OF DIVISIONAL AO CHAIRS IS INCLUDED IN THE COURSE WITH A NOTE FOR THEM TO JOT DOWN WHO THEIR CONTACT IS)

 

CO online course is ongoing. When a new coach signs up for US Ski and Snowboard that does not have a CO, they will receive an email about them being enrolled in the CO course from Coaches Ed. This will provide a direct link for them to take the course. When they complete the course they will be able to download their certificate and it will also be recorded in the weekly database.
